Combined tickets in Emilia Romagna

When you visit a new city or land, Art lovers like me have already experienced that for time and economic reasons, you often have to make some cuts, selecting only some places from your list.

This is why I decided to make a list of some combined tickets or entry tickets that are available #inEmiliaRomagna, in order to enjoy at best some of the most beautiful monuments and museums of our regions, SAVING MONEY.

Palazzo della Pilotta (Parma)

Price: 18€; 14€ for groups; 2€ for young people aged 18-25; free admission under 18 years of age and on the first Sunday of every month

You can visit the imposing Palazzo Della Pilotta located in the heart of the city centre of Parma and some other sites linked to the ducal authority of the Farnese family, such as the Farnese Theatre, the National Gallery of Parma, National Archaeological Museum of Parma, Palatina Library and the Bodoni Museum.

Alternatively, you can purchase an additional combined ticket, which not only allows you to visit the Complesso della Pilotta but also the Antica Spezieria di San Giovanni Evangelista (in Parma), the Castello di Torrechiara (in Langhirano) and the Veleia Archaeological Park and Antiquarium (in Lugagnano Val D’Arda, Piacenza).

The ticket costs €25 and entitles you to visit the Monumental Complex of the Pilotta on the day of purchase or booking, while visits to the other sites can be made within thirty days.

The baptistery and the Diocesan Museum in the centre of Parma have been hubs of art, history and sacredness for more than 900 years.

This itinerary is perfect to know better Romanesque art and its developments during the following centuries. Not to be missed: the series of sculptures of the Months and Seasons by Benedetto Antelami inside the baptistery.

In the Footsteps of Giuseppe Verdi

A deep dive into the life and works of the great composer from Busseto, visiting the places where his passion for music was born.

The town that was the Maestro’s birthplace, located between Parma and Piacenza, offers different ways to visit Verdi’s places, including the Casa Natale Verdi (Verdi Birthplace), the theatre named after him, and the Casa Barezzi Museum.

In addition, visitors can stop by the Renata Tebaldi Museum dedicated to the great opera singer and Verdi performer.

The Royal Palaces and Castles of Parma

The tickets combining the pleasure of a walk in the centre with a visit to two splendid residences outside the city are another great opportunity to discover Parma and its surroundings.

We are talking about the Reggia di Colorno, defined as the little Versailles of the Dukes of Parma, and the Rocca di Fontanellato, two jewels in the city’s historic-artistic crown.

By purchasing a combined ticket, you can take part in a guided tour of Parma’s city centre – with a final Parmesan cheese tasting – and access the two monuments. Below are the ticket prices:

This itinerary finds its source/routes from the history of Comacchio: it ranges from the recently opened Ancient Delta Museum, where archaeology narrates the past of this place, to the Pickling Factory, linked to the cycle of eels and smelts processing.

The Unesco Monuments in Ravenna

Ravenna is world famous for its early Christian and Byzantine buildings, UNESCO monuments since 1996. They house mosaics of rare beauty that testify to the splendour the city enjoyed between the 5th and 6th centuries AD.
Today, however, the buildings belong to different owners, resulting in separate combined tickets.
