A digital marketing project to promote Emilia-Romagna on the web, with bloggers and digital creators from all over the world.
An apartment and a personalized itinerary for each participant.
A multi-voiced narration of what to do and see in Emilia-Romagna, according to each interest.
All this is Blog Ville, the tourism promotion project developed from 2012 to 2019 by APT Servizi Emilia-Romagna together with the iAmbassador network of travel influencers.

How does it work?
During the application period, bloggers can voluntarily submit their application, complete with media kit and blog analytics.
At the end of the application period, APT choose the participants on the basis of marketing objectives, tourism products and target markets.
The selected bloggers spend a week in Emilia-Romagna, during which they are free to explore the area on their own and “like a local”; “eat, feel and live like a local” is indeed the project’s claim.
APT provides the selected bloggers with a “house”, an apartment in the heart of Bologna, where they can sleep and eat thanks to a survival pack of PDO and PGI products typical of Emilia-Romagna.
APT also recommends to each participant, in a tailor-made way, the places and activities in the region that best suit their niche of interest: from food and wine to automotive, from art cities to nature activities.
Bloggers will be able to organise their own tour along the Via Emilia at their own pace and according to their own interests, and then share with their readers and followers the travel experiences lived during their presence in Emilia-Romagna through their blog and social channels.
Output & Awards
From 2012 to 2019, the BlogVille project hosted 180 participants from 5 continents, who produced over 1,200 blogposts related to Emilia-Romagna.

The format has also won numerous international awards, including:
– Best Campaign and Presentation at the World Travel Market 2012 in London;
– Best International Digital Tourism Promotion Campaign 2014 at the Social Media Tourism Symposium in Rovaniemi.
The format was subsequently adopted by other tourist destinations around the world: Finland, Malta, Faroe Islands, Queensland (AU), Costa Brava, South Africa.

FAQ
Will I be alone in the apartment?
No, the apartment will be shared with other bloggers, but you will have your own private room.
Is smoking allowed at the apartment?
No, smoking is strictly prohibited inside the apartment. Smoking is permitted on the balconies or outside the apartment.
Can I buy and bring my own food to the apartment?
Yes, in the apartment there’s a kitchen where you can cook on your own.
What if I need medical service while I’m there at BlogVille?
If needed, medical assistance in Italy is given in public hospitals.
